This year I promised myself I would trim my herbs on a regular basis to keep them looking good. Today I did my second trimming and instead of throwing them in the yard waste bin I got clever. Sometimes I use them as fillers in my flower bouquets, but today they are the bouquet. After trimming, I brought sage, in various degrees of flowering, summer savory, marjoram, chives, and three types of basil into my house and washed them. I cut them all the same length and put them into a 4-inch tall, square, crystal vase. Beautiful! The kitchen smells great too. From now on I will be having more of these beautiful bouquets in my kitchen.
