Ouch, Larry! We're down into the low-mid 30's. Still not cold enough to require me to put on a coat to get inside a building from my car, but getting close!

Reminds me of our days in Minneapolis where even my fuel line froze one day.

Down to 31° the last two mornings. Today it is warmer and the high temp will be 71° I am juicing lemons still and my next-door neighbor coming over to finish picking the rest of the lemons that require a very tall ladder. I will be running out of freezer space soon, I need to clean out some old pieces of bread, croissants, etc. Stuff I never eat anymore that I had for my hubby. I won't complain about the cold, it is much better than the 110 to 121 degrees we had last summer. Ugh.

A friend of mine in NOLA posted a photo this morning of his truck with a foot of snow on top of it. And my nephew in Jacksonville posted a photo of the roads with 3-4" of snow on them. Crazy times!

1º F here this morning and all the way up to 19º right now, brrrrr! We've been through an awful arctic spell for much of January, but it appears we're going to finally start climbing out of it by the weekend.

Ouch, Robin. That's a long time at so low a temp--any rosemary bushes or anything in danger?

So far so good up here - usually hovering around 0 C. give or take a few degrees in the AM and so far no precipitation.

No, fortunately. We had a rosemary bush descended from a pack of seeds sneaked home from Genoa years ago, but a rare subzero frost did it in.

Everyone here lost their rosemary last year.

Here in the PNW we're having the third driest January on record. I'm actually going to have to water my bay, rosemary and sage (it's now 15 years old, it's so hearty!) this week.
