Secret Aardvark

by Karen/NoCA » Wed Oct 16, 2024 10:57 am

Has anyone else used this hot sauce? I have almost finished the container now and it is at the top of my favorites list. A Habanero sauce with many ingredients including carrots, turmeric, sunflower oil, and others. There is an interesting recipe on the container for making an Aardvark red beer.

Love the flavor of habanero. Will be looking for it.

I just received my order for three more hot sauces: the one I posted above, plus a smokey chipotle and one called serrabanero. I can't tell you enough about this brand's flavors. They're delicious. Ingredients list is decent and with unexpected food products.

Scooter’s Serrabanero Slaw
Get your snout into this! Slaw’s an all-time BBQ fave. Give it the world’s easiest makeover with a blast of our Serrabanero Sauce!

Servings: 4 – 6

Prep Time: 15 min.

Chilling Time: A minimum of 30 min. up to 2 hours

Ingredients
For the coleslaw:

2 cups shredded green cabbage

1 cup shredded red cabbage (optional for extra color)

1 carrot, julienned or shredded

1/2 cup chopped red onion

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

For the dressing:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 – 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped

1 – 2 tablespoons Aardvark Serrabanero Green Hot Sauce

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
Prepare the coleslaw mix: In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrot, red onion (if using), and cilantro.

Whisk the dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, chopped jalapenos, Serrabanero Hot Sauce, lime juice, ground cumin, and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and chill: Pour the dressing over coleslaw mix and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
