Those are habaneros, all right. Eating a raw habanero is an instructive anatomy lesson. It teaches you where food goes after you eat it.

They name hot peppers the same way Detroit named high performance cars - there is the Carolina Reaper, Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, Naga Viper, Ghost Pepper, Dragon's Breath.

All of those are beyond my limits, although I am happy with a plate of seared salted shishitos - there is usually two or three in a plate full that are 2 - 3 times hotter then the others.
