When you go out to someone's place for dinner but want to bring something more inventive than flowers: The Loch Ness ladle!

It's almost painful to consider that someone designed that and had it made, thinking it would sell.

I think it does sell. Amazon has 7500 reviews and the maker, Ototo, has 5500 reviews for this product. (Many other places sell it but are not so easy to skim for numbers.)

Also, it was touted throughout the Scottish side of the internet when it first came out in 2015.

Much easier for the host/ess to deal with than having to drop everything to deal with flowers (no matter how many vases I have there is never one the right size!

OTOTO makes a large array of cute kitchen stuff. It is loved by folks who are into "cute", think Pioneer Woman. Not something I would buy because I like a modern clean look but I can see why it sells. Check it out on Amazon, lots of fun stuff for gifts for those who like that style.

Okay so I went to Amazon and looked at everything OTOTO. Most are ridiculous but I see a very practical need for this, which probably does what it does better than other things I have that are similar:

Oh yeah, that's clawsome!

And I'd like one of these on the fridge!

I expect to see one next time I come up.
