In watching this, I was reminded of a long-ago FLDG true story. One of our regulars, a doctor named Howard, moved from the 'burbs into Chicago downtown at the point when the last of his four older children went off to college. Howard had increasingly become interested in food and wine, and he had one young son left at home. At a parent-teacher night at his son's new school, he met a single dad and they got to talking about food stuff. "Let's get together and cook sometime," suggested the man, and they exchanged names and numbers. Only then did Howard realize that his new friend was Charlie Trotter. Don't know whatever came of that.
