OK so here's my advice on using frozen pandan leaves and likely fresh. Unless you want to order new blades for your food processor or blender [ I don't own a Vitamix or Ninja which might be adequate ] DON"T try to make your own pandan extract. They are extremely fibrous. I was worried that the few shards that went down the sink drain would stall the disposer. That being said, the smell and taste when added to coconut milk is very interesting and the resulting color is only subtly green. I will have to taste the final chilled result but I suspect that more than the 8 grams I added to the 500 gm mix will be needed.
I am going to look online for pandan paste and extract but carefully read about any additives for color and preservation as those points are suggested in my online review.
