New Netflix show: The School for Chocolate

by Jenise » Mon Dec 06, 2021 2:53 pm

Stumbled over this yesterday. Eight students, all already pastry professionals, are learning how to make incredible things (like 50" tall structures) out of chocolate from a French master of that art. No one's eliminated, but to make it a true reality show at the end (I'm not sure how many episodes there are) someone will be deemed a winner with a hefty cash prize and promise of further instruction.

I don't eat sweets, and I'm not at all interested in chocolate. It's just another flavor and not a favorite. But such is the artistry on this technique-driven show that I was absolutely glued to my screen last night for not just one but two episodes in spite of the fact that this was keeping me up too late considering that we had an early morning get-up today. The instructor (never caught his name) is just ridiculously talented and riveting in his precise instruction and continentally-elegant criticism.

Recommended!

I've been debating this. With your recommendation I will check it out.
