McDonalds and Wine

I was looking at some old photo's and found this one of (at the time) a new McDonalds.

And this is inside, the lightshades reference wine barrels.

Needless to say, you can have a glass of vin rouge (or blanc) with your burger, but not from their own vineyard as it (was then) too young.

I could be wrong, Peter, but that looks a lot more like an enlarged image of corks seen from the end rather than barrels. Either way, a fascinating theme for Mickey D's.
