Emptied in the line of duty

by Jeff Grossman » Fri Nov 27, 2020 2:42 am

So, the Thanksgiving meal is done - cooked, eaten, leftovers stashed. But it was a funny day of frequently using up the very last of whatever was in the jar. All of the following had enough left for today's cooking and that was it:
- whole bay leaf
- dried whole sage
- ground clove
- ground cinnamon
- caraway seed
- avocado mayonnaise

It was getting to be quite deja vu because those six empties occurred across five recipes.

I missed this! It's now safe to pick bay leaves from my tree again. (I dried two batches last fall in anticipation of not being able to pick and one molded so I only had enough for myself.) But now, we're back in business with fresh.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
