New season coming up on January 20th. Here's the PR blurb:
First, a special will run on Friday, December 13: Samuelsson and chef Vivian Howard of new PBS show Somewhere South will provide glimpses of their upcoming seasons from 8:30 to 9 pm. EST. Then, No Passport Required’s first episode, focused on Filipino food and culture in Seattle, will air from 9 to 10 p.m.
The remaining five episodes air from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays starting January 20. The series travels to Los Angeles (January 20), where the largest Armenian community outside of the homeland resides; Houston (January 27), home to one of the highest numbers of West African expatriates of any U.S. city; and Philadelphia (February 3), where Italian Americans have thrived for generations. Other episodes focus on the Chinese-American community in Las Vegas (February 10), which has grown tremendously over the last 20 years, and Boston (February 17), where Samuelsson explores Portuguese-speaking cultures and food traditions from three different locales: Brazil, Cape Verde and Portugal. In each city, he’ll visit local restaurants, markets, and family homes, learning about each community’s cuisine and heritage.
