I actually don't think it was the best terrine of the day. But I love the way it presented.

Thanks Jenise. Had a look over there, greatstuff. Which was your favourite? Or can’t you tell us ?Can’t think of too many meals better than 4 couples, 4 carefully crafted dishes with matching wines, good conversation and the clowning glory....inept bocce. My kind of party.

That was a stand out, Jenise. Also learned more than I had expected about mud bug terminology etc. while discussing it with you!

Nice to see an ingredient that hasn't shown up before made a star.

I loved the way everything on the plate spoke to a place and a uniquely American cuisine. The challenge of incorporating so many elements, but editing myself enough to put forth a plate that made sense was probably the most fun of all.

I loved the classicism of your terrine too. I'll be making that in the future!

I'll let you do that one! I did see a picture I meant to post a few weeks back of canned Spaghetti-O's ring-molded into an aspic with the center hole full of Vienna sausage. Or maybe they were just hot dogs cut in half. You'd have loved that when you were a kid, right? :)
