Shrimp Boil Hobo Packs

by Jenise » Sun Mar 24, 2019 7:02 pm

I've never been a fan of shrimp (or crab, or whatever) boils. I generally prefer the flavor of things separately cooked to max each ingredient. I am, however, still a girl, and I girlishly love the idea of little packets of food.

So, on deck for later this week if this clownishly warm weather (for March, it was 70 F yesterday in the Costco parking lot) holds, I'll throw shrimp, corn on the cob and some greasy-smoky sausage pieces into foil packets with thyme, butter, Old Bay, and a splash of dry white wine, into some big squares of foil and drop them on the grill for about ten minutes each.

There's a real recipe on the Food & Wine site with more details (it also includes mussels but I can't use them) but y'all are great cooks with enough imagination to not need it.

Spring's here!
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
