I bought a closeout stainless steel dough scraper today for a couple of bucks. The enclosed five-year guarantee gave me a chuckle:
"If the product fails due to defects in material or workmanship return the defective item, postage paid (okay), along with the original dated receipt (bet that would be easy to find), and $4.00 for postage and handling.... Your repaired item or replacement product will be returned to you postage paid (huh?)."
Let's see, now. Postage to mail it to the company would be a calculated $2.00 and additional $4.00 for the supposedly postage- paid return. Hmmm...$5.69 regular price to purchase it, $6.00 to return it for a replacement. Wonder if I can get a quantity discount?
