RCP: Jackie Kennedy's light and crisp waffles

Actually, I don't really care who made them, but I do care about "light and crisp" so wanted to hang onto this recipe to test. Still looking for that ultimate waffle experience.


READY IN: 15mins
YIELD: 6 waffles UNITS: US
INGREDIENTS Nutrition
1⁄2 cup butter
1 tablespoon sugar
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 cup buttermilk
1 pinch salt
1 cup cake flour
1 tablespoon cake flour
4 teaspoons baking powder

DIRECTIONS
cream butter( i melted it)and sugar add yolks.
add sifted dry ingredients ( i used regular flour and 1/4 c cornstarch ).
add milk.
fold in whites.
pam the iron.
