Have any of you grown or eaten these? They look interesting! More like a pea or a bean; and I'm guessing it's the flavor that deems them a 'radish' vs. their growing habit, but I don't really know.

Never heard of them. On a quick hunt around the internet, found a nice little article here:
http://blog.gardeningknowhow.com/tbt/rat-tail-radishes/I gather they are Brassicae, so not peas or beans but cabbages. Anecdotally, the Madras are nicer to eat than the Rat's Tail.
