Freezing baked potatoes?

by Robin Garr » Sat Nov 05, 2016 9:47 am

What do you think, boys and girls? If I baked a bunch of potatoes and froze them individually for later use. Would it work? Have any of you ever done it?

I've never tried it and never seen it recommended.
I rather imagine that when you thaw them, you'll get mashed potato in the skin. And the skin is unlikely to be appetizing, in my uneducated opinion.

Agree with John. That said, if your plan was to cut it up and fry it, that might still work.

Let us know how it goes!

I agree, you would have to lose the fresh baked smell and that is a bad thing.
