I had a new bakery product today, too! I stopped by Zaro's for a quick coffee and a nibble, and came away with a "Bronx Cretzel": a croissant-shaped pretzel, still tender as a croissant, malty and salted like a pretzel.

Honestly, it scratched neither itch so I'm going back to the "flagel" (flat bagel). :roll:

I've had cretzels (without the Bronx addition) in Germany, but I agree, would much rather have a regular pretzel (or if in France a croissant).

Have a look at the croissants in the photo at the top of the article linked to by Bob.

They're not curved, and that's not a Tesco baker!
