Lots of ideas, Mahmoud!

Shop scratch n' dent outlets for cut-rate deals on new appliances.
Check your gas and electric companies for rebates applicable to your selection of appliances.
Ditto water if you're upgrading your water service.
Look for outlets that sell close-outs and bin-ends on flooring, hardware, tile, etc.


Btw, re your list, I don't think floor tiles are necessarily a money-saving item. The labor part of it really adds up. But any new floor is going to cost you.

You can get floor tiles that are similar to laminate counter tops. They're less expensive than ceramic or stone, easier to keep clean and easier on the feet.

Not a fan of tile for a kitchen floor - spending hours standing on them is hard on the feet!

When we last remodeled I did exactly what you suggest - painted the 3/4" wood cabinet doors white, did another more modern tile backsplash and stuck in some under cabinet lighting. Also added some laminate counters. Completely changed the appearance, but of course we didn't get any more space, which is really what we needed.

Amen to that. And cheap tiles chip easily. Not worth it in the long run.
