Spring asparagus!

by Robin Garr » Sat Apr 11, 2015 12:00 pm

Is it really so wrong to pick and eat raw asparagus shoots right out of the ground?

I don't think this qualifies as an RCP, but it sure is good.

What is this "ground" of which you speak? Does it resemble pavement?

Anyway, I do see the slimmest, trimmest asparagus in the stores now. Yum!

When I moved here 31 years ago I remember having a conversation with a local winemaker about his annual morel hunt. I asked to join him and he said, and I quote, "Not a chance."
