Kitchen window gardening

A friend, who has lemon grass growing in a shot glass on her kitchen window sill, referred me to this site for interesting ways to grow new food out of roots and stems usually thrown out!

Cool stuff I didn't know about, though I do plant green onion roots in the garden to generate more.
