Quite simply, how do you like your popcorn flavored? Assuming you enjoy it of course.

I also like it with olive oil, salt and grated Romano cheese.

We pop our own popcorn. I've tried yellow and white corn...like both. I have tried many combos, of salt, oils, spices, heat, but we seem to come back to a light butter or olive oil with very little salt. If the popcorn is fresh, it needs very little of anything. I could even do without the butter....but always salt.

I agree, all of the above is great.

Salt is key, butter/fat is never a bad thing, and sometimes I add lime juice for a tang.

Butter and salt are the winners in my book, but other things are good, too (not all at once!): truffle oil, black pepper, fennel pollen.

I voted for butter and salt, but I like variations too -- I have crumbled up my spicy kale chips onto popcorn, that's interesting. And a few times I have bought "kettle corn" which is sweet, by mistake, and it was OK.

I am kind of in the same position, tho, with milk and popcorn. Whole milk tastes better. Not good for cholesterol or for weight, we buy 1% which has much less flavor, but you get used to it. If I drink less milk (I do) with 1% around, that's a good thing. And for popcorn I keep a supply of the 94% fat free stuff around. Microwave packets. If you love popcorn I suppose it is an abomination. But it's OK with WeightWatchers, and way better than no popcorn at all. And it is satisfying to eat a big bowl of the stuff for only 3 points...

I forgot to add perhaps the best popcorn companion of all - champagne! :D

Or an iced cold bottle of Coca-Cola of course. You gotta have some bubbles...:)

I really like popcorn with truffle salt (I could see truffle oil if you had good non-factory oil), though sometimes Betsy also does garam masala whic is also good.

Agreed, Dale, I meant to say truffle salt.

And, while I like caramel corn, I intensely dislike 'kettle corn', which is neither sweet enough nor salty enough to please me.

Similar: butter and salt are fantastic, but almost as good is truffle oil, salt and herbs d'Provence.

Generous fake butter, light salt. Snow caps sprinkled in for that sweet salty thing.

You know, I actually found a butter flavored olive oil in NC. It's great on popcorn and a little healthier than the real (or fake) thing.
Hello. My name is Carrie, and I...I....still like oaked Chardonnay. (Please don't judge.)

I voted butter and salt. I loved the truffled popcorn JC gave me once, however. Movie theater popcorn causes me to have an allergic reaction for some reason.
