How to make the forum "fall back" to standard time

by Robin Garr » Sun Oct 29, 2006 11:24 am

Just wanted to remind everyone, since we "fell back" to Standard Time in the US and Canada today (maybe Western Europe, too?) that the forum software does not automatically compensate for time changes.

If you wish to have your forum time stamps accurate, the way to do it is to click the Profile button at the right-hand end of the top button row on the forum page, then page about three-fourths of the way down the Profile options to "Timezone." Choose the appropriate setting for your location from the pulldown menu - for Eastern Standard it should be "GMT -5", for Pacific "GMT -8" - then click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page and your forum message time stamps should then be accurate.
