Why?

by Susan B » Fri Nov 11, 2011 4:07 pm

I have searched for any reason to manufacture, buy or eat this. It must be the result of the "meat glue" that was a subject of an earlier post. But what remains is "Why?" If it were April I would chalk it up the April Fools Day. Maybe just becuase the glue allows it? I am further puzzled about Costco offering this. Can anyone offer a reason?

If I want to roast a pig, I'll get a pig. This is more like a Saturday Night Live skit, or as you said, April Fools' Day

Here is more info....http://blog.seattlepi.com/thebigblog/2011/11/10/buy-your-piglet-shaped-meatslab-of-molded-pork-at-coscto/

Think I will pass on this. I'd hate to read the ingredients list. Made my stomach churn just looking at it.

All of the unpleasantness of eating something that looks like Babe without the incredible deliciousness of a real roast pig. Sounds like a lose-lose to me.

I guess you could use it to gross out your kids, but that's about the only purpose I can see behind the thing.

The reason to manufacture it is because someone thinks it's cute and they hope some shoppers will, too.

As to buying it or eating it, nope.

Wonder which Costco that was in? Definitely not in Bellingham! (Which sells more milk than any other Costco in the country--they even just built a special dairy room just for milk.)
