I had never even heard of this fish until a friend ordered it in the Finger Lakes two weeks ago. Her dish was called fish and chips, though the chips were this local oddity called salt potatoes (which is worthy of another thread). It was odd looking: a single filet about 8" long, tapered and nearly flat toward the tail end but unusually thick toward the head end for a filet that short, over an inch. She wasn't wowed by it, but that could have been the prep or her disappointment in the potatoes, which she'd claimed to be the impetus for that order.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
