IOTM: Leftovers, with thanks to Carrie

by Jenise » Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:52 am

The duck shepherds pie I planned to make didn't materialize as I was several hours late getting home from running errands. So what I did instead was shred the leftover Ten Spice duck with the leftover gravy from that meal with Sunday night's oven roasted wild mushrooms, and season the new dish with white truffle oil. That melange was spooned over parslied new potatoes.

DIVINE!

Leftovers for the Gods, Jenise. Much more inspired than anything I'd have come up with, for sure.

Aw, you would too have. Easy. What really made it great, though, was the white truffle oil--didn't taste like leftovers at ALL.
