So, lemon or lime in that iced tea? Sweet or unsweet?

Since a lot of us seemed to have fun with the iced tea poll (and the iced coffee thread that followed), let's ask the obvious follow-up questions: Do you prefer it sweet or unsweet, and if sweet, with sugar, sweetener, honey or other? And speaking of additives, lime, lemon or other? I'll allow several answers in the poll to allow for multiple choices. Use "reply" for details, such as preference among the yellow, blue, pink or white sweeteners.

(Me, I'm a lime-and-unsweet tea person, although I don't mind lemon at all if lime isn't available.)

Voted for unsweetened became we have it that way at home. Usually in restaurants it comes with lemon, and we don't throw it away.

I voted "Other". I like to use orange peel in with the tea when brewing.

Do NOT like "sweet tea" as you suthuhners call it, though if there was no health impact one way or the other I'd prefer my tea with about a quarter teaspoon of sugar in it. Doesn't make it sweet so much as it punches up the more floral flavors in the tea. However, as it is I go nekkid--much as I adore lemon and lime, not in my tea please!

I drink tea, but find it rather lacking in bold flavors that I like. I make a southern Iced tea that also has orange juice in it. It is excellent and I always add a few thin slices of lemon and lime to the pitcher. Usually, I make it for company, who become rather fond of it immediately and ask for the recipe. Gene loves the leftovers.

Not infrequently with a bit of sugar but that invariably of sugar syrup as it integrates well and does not leave any cloying feeling. A good squeeze of lemon as well when drinking out-of-doors. And let us not forget the possibility of gently crushed mint leaves.

Usually 2 packets of sweetener in a 12-16 ounce iced tea. No lemon.
Cheers!

Definitely unsweetened for me. A fresh lemon wedge is great as well. I actually "drip" the wedge into the glass and stir with a straw. :)

Oranges and iced teas are two things I really enjoy in a completely "all-natural" way without any "doctoring". I mention that only because I have no trouble liking sugar in many other foods...

It was always lemon for me, until I was in Panama for almost two years, doing my duty. They only have limes down there and I decided I much prefer lime over lemon in my tea.

I put myself down for sugar and lemon, although (like Jenise) I prefer just a touch of sugar in the tea. Unlike her, I can tolerate sweet tea. I just don't find it optimal.

As for lemon, the more the better.
