Ballistically, I'm not too sure how well this would work, but the concept is interesting. Sort of a twist on the old rock salt loads.

Assuming the site is not a spoof, I would be against it. Even steel shot maims a lot of birds when compared to the heavier lead shot. "Seasoning shot" cannot have the weight to humanely kill a bird -- I'd need to see the ballistics tables.
