Artichoke Hearts with Stems

by Karen/NoCA » Tue May 24, 2011 1:18 pm

A Trader Joe's product I am loving. Perfect fat, little hearts with stems. They should drain well on paper towels prior to your prep. I marinate them to serve on a platter with olives, etc. Or as in this salad I just put together to go with a lamb rack we are having tonight. I've used them with an Italian marinade on turkey burgers and other sandwiches. They can be halved or quartered and hold their shape well. Leaving them whole is very pretty too.

Haven't seen those! I'd buy--artichokes are one of the few canned vegetables I like.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Don't know them and don't live near any TJ's but they do look beautiful and I can imagine a lot of uses. I've never found a satisfactory commercial marinated artichoke heart and I find most canned ones in water flabby.
Mamma Mia !
