Makes you smile, for sure. Part of my own smile is the Jewish star on the walls of the Deli in which the sandwich is being served. Meat is kosher and cheese is kosher but the combination of meat and cheese (or any other dairy product) makes the Reuben anything but kosher.

As for me, best Reuben sandwiches ever were those served during the heyday of the Tap Room of the Taft Hotel in New York. Most fantastic post-coital sandwiches ever!!!

You have to watch the movie all the way to the end to see the funny conclusion when a young woman reminds them all of this obvious point ...
