This doesn't happen normally. These particular gnocchi were just outraged at the thought of being drenched in store-bought hot sauce and turned into "Buffalo Gnocchi".

I can cut him some slack for 'wanting' -- creativity is what it is. Where I don't let him off the hook is in not thinking about the moisture: every single cook to whom I have shown this video has immediately said they're too wet for this to work. If he's going to blog himself as some kind of expert then he should have known it, too.

Closer than risotto is ravioli and on the Hill in St Louie they fry that all the time.
