Anybody had any of this pork?

I don't know that I could eat something that cute much less participate in Pigstock 2010, day 1 "Then you'll slaughter, scald, gut and split yours"

Drew, I'm totally with you. But I *would* like a couple of pork chops if anyone else is braver. :)

Mangalitsa from Heath Putnam Farms is available at one of the farmers' markets here in Seattle. The meat is pricey, but absolutely unique and quite tasty. I'd be curious to taste it next to the Mosefund mangalitsa. Looking at the Mosefund site, it seems likely that Heath Putnam Farms was the original source of their pigs. This document has some interesting information about the mangalitsa.

Lee, thanks! I'm not allowed to eat anything besides chicken or seafood for the next eight weeks, so of course "absolutely unique" tasty pork sounds even more enchanting than it would otherwise. :) Btw, re farmers markets in Seattle, are there any that go year-round?

The West Seattle market on Sunday is year round, and I'm 99% sure that the University District saturday market is year round.
