Anyone know Jamie Oliver?

by Karen/NoCA » Fri Nov 12, 2010 8:12 pm

I was watching his "Jamie at Home" show today. How fun it was to see his kitchen, old cutting boards that look like they are a century old, and just plain old looking everything. Cooking out in his yard, sitting on an old bench, using a make shift table and again, another cutting board that looked ancient. He picks his herbs right there, grabs this and that from off the ground, and tossed a juiced lemon half off into the yard...to a compositing pile, I supposed. So does he really live like that or is it all staged? He bbq'd a leg of lamb on an old spit that ran on a crank up wheel system, made of copper and iron, which made me wonder if he is off the grid, and has improvised ways to make things work. This is a refreshing show to watch. I still maintain that men should do all the prep and cooking, they do it so much easier and faster than women.

I don't know the answer but suggest only that if you can't quickly tell, it increases the chances that he really lives like that.
