I just made reservation for the Las Vegas spot in December. Now I've gotta go to NYC. Thanks for the news, Jenise.

I like the way the article says she bought Niman Ranch meat for her Ny restaurant on the advice of her customers, but couldn't tell the difference between that and her regular meat.

It was also a funny note that she doesn't know any of the German riesling names but can just taste what goes well with the food. That very well may be, but from what I've heard she has all the big names so there must have been some guidance.

Anyway, I'm not quibbling. I look forward to trying this place at some point. (A lot more likely now that I don't have to go to Vegas). But obviously the Nyc dining scene is more crowded than that of Vegas. Hope she makes it.

I believe it's her son (who I met when I dined in Vegas) who is the palate (a very knowledgeable one) behind the wine selections.

I'm looking forward to trying it. I realize prices will be higher than LV (never been, but heard a lot about LoS) but still sound reasonable. The question will be the wine list, and how it will be priced. The LV location is oft visited by wine geeks, but NYC has a large number of resident wgs, so I can see lists getting picked over quickly.

Well NYC has plenty of good sources for wine as well (both retail and wine bar/resto lists like Terroir).

Though I am really hoping they allow BYO. Either way I'lll be there as soon as they are open in November.
