The discussion about hot dogs here got me kind of hungry for one of those, so when I saw the Beelers (a supplier of fresh, organic meats I trust) All Natural Uncured Wieners (snappy natural casing, no nitrates) at the Food Co-Op, I bit. We just had two each, boiled in shallow water until the skin toughened a bit and wrapped in a corn tortilla that had been crisped in a hot iron skillet and smeared with a little Dijon mustard. Oh my, were they good. Possibly the best I've had in America simply because of the absence of all those salty, preservative flavors.
This information won't be of much use to anyone outside of the Pac NW because it's an Oregon product, but for the few of us with access to same these should be good news. It's also possible that this product will be carried by all the Food Co-ops that dot the West Coast all the way to Southern California.
