Smoked Deviled Eggs

by Howie Hart » Sun Jul 11, 2010 4:14 pm

Not really a recipe, but something my son came up with, and quite tasty I might add. Hard cook the eggs as normal, halve them and remove the yokes for the deviled egg mixture. Then, while smoking something else (he was doing a pork butt for pulled pork), put the whites in the smoker for a few minutes. The eggs readily absorb the smoke flavor. Then, remove them and fill them, starting with a small amount 1/2 to 1 tsp of your favorite BBQ sauce, and your usual deviled egg filling.

Oh man, this sounds really yummy. I love deviled eggs and a little smoke in there would be a nice touch.
