I spatchcocked a chicken last weekend, it was in the oven when our sons got home from the lake. "What is that yummy smell, mom?" "A spatchcocked chicken chicken with garlic, rosemary, and other goodies." I turned around to look at them and they were both standing there with huge eyes... :lol: I just blurted it out without thinking about it...I kind of like that word and like the reaction I get from folks when I say it.

Well, "spatchcocked" does sound like you've done something rather gruesome that Dr. Frankenstein might well have balked at.
