Breathe Carl, breathe! I tried duplicating it, and while I made some nice ones, I just did not nail it. Hmmm....maybe it was just the beautiful smell of all that blooming lavender in the hills that made everything taste so good!

Karen, do you think they might have used a lavender infused vinegar as the dressing base? That was my second thought, my first being the addition of lavender buds, but you said it wasn't visible in the salad.
Karen/NoCA wrote:I never thought of that, but it could be, because I thought the salad had vinegar in the dressing and they do sell lavender infused vinegar. Good suggestion. Do you think I could put some culinary lavender in my champagne vinegar? I have some lavender I got from Linda Stradley.
