Mothers day breakfast

by Armand Carriveau » Mon May 10, 2010 5:39 pm

Instead of going out to dinner on mothers day, my wife prefers breakfast in bed. This year I made up a scramble with smoked salmon, goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and dill accompanied by Bledsoe bacon, fresh strawberries and muffins with a homemade spiced pear jam with peacan bits. Served it with a Domaine Carnaros Taittinger 2005 brut and Italian roast coffee. She spent the whole morning in bed reading the sunday paper, periodically calling out "I'm having a wonderful morning"! Anybody else do anything special for the day?

That is really cute. Brought a smile to my face.

Armand, good for you for pampering your wife and giving her the space in which to be self-indulgent without guilt. Sounds like a good breakfast too!
