I have eaten the chocolate bar with bacon and can attest to it being delicious.

According to "folk" medicine the bacon bandages make sense. When I was in grade school I somehow ended up with a wooden sliver way underneath a finger nail. My father placed a piece of salted bacon over the nail and finger tip. He bandaged the finger and changed it every day. A couple of days later when he took the bandage off to change it the sliver was out from underneath my nail. I later saw him use the same procedure to remove a broken piece of cactus (tip of a Spanish Dagger) that had pierced and broken off in his shin.
I love the life I live and live the life I love*, and as Mark Twain said, " Always do well it will gratify the few and astonish the rest".

I thought it got out of hand a while ago.

Though I wonder how strong the correlation is between this new bacon obsession and sales of Lipitor.

I love bacon just as much as anyone else, but good grief...putting it into chocolate, other desserts eating so much of it on a hamburger, enough to blow your arteries. That is just plain silly.

The 'bacon thing' has become a parody of itself, IMNSHO.

In any case, bacon toffee was amazing when I was first introduced to it. Done right it is a porky riff on salted caramel. (But a little goes a long way.)

Last couple of times I've been to tastings at Domaine Serene they've featured a Chocolatier who made bacon chocolates. Most folks loved them. I was so so on them.

There's bacon and there's bacon. Research.

Love 'em too. But they're even better wrapped in bacon.

Not a fan of sweets and bacon. Hate maple bacon. Bacon should be enjoyed unadulterated!
