If you haven't seen Mr. T selling the Flavor Wave Turbo Oven, you owe it to yourself to look this one up!

I found it. About 30 seconds of it is enough. He's a psychotic hoot but she's still a shrill shill. :)

I found her to be a psychotic hoot as well. (Although "shrill" is also accurate.)

Still, I think this one has elevated the infomercial form to a new level! Ron Popeil must be very proud.

Mike,

I’m getting kind of concerned about you. First you said you were watching COPS (by the way, Dog the Bounty Hunter is the Petrus of those types of shows, so shame on you for lowering your standards) and now you are watching Mr. T infomercials?? Ya know, if you press that remote cable channel button enough times you will find something called the ESPN channel. Just a suggestion.

In all seriousness and speaking of Ron Popeil, I had to return a duplicate Christmas gift last week. The return required “Manager Approval” and the Manager was out of the store for a bit so I walked around the warehouse floor while waiting for him to return. I spotted one of those rotisserie ovens Ron Popeil pushes on TV and there was a huge sticker on the unit that read, “THE SET IT AND FORGET IT ADVICE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LITERALLY!”

Underneath that exclamation was a lengthy disclaimer about how one should not actually “set it and forget it” because leaving an unattended small oven cooking things like greasy foods could result in a fire.

Who would have known? I typically come home from the tavern every night, throw some chicken in my RONCO oven and pass out while it is cooking only to wake up and find a perfectly charred chicken and no fire. Ok, maybe some smoke that sets off the fire alarm, but definitely no actual flames.

I think they have gone overboard on the product warnings.

Oh I've long been a connoisseur of schlock on TV. You are indeed correct - "Dog, the Bounty Hunter" is a jaw-dropper of a show and outdoes Cops any day. I'd have been watching that but the G4 network runs Cops from 1 PM until 4 or 5 every day. Didn't even have to remember where I put the remote!

That sticker on the rotisserie oven is hilarious, by the way!!

Of course, the TV is reserved for one purpose tomorrow.

I'll have to look it up.

I have Mr. T on my TomTom.
