Here is a link to a lady growning a nice garden in the Pacific NW. May have some tips for the rest of you who garden in that area.

Interesting thing about the Square Foot Gardening. Not a technique I've heard of but would like to find out more about it. Can't tell where she is, but she would seem to be on the western side (she mentioned "mild summers" in re tomatoes, and Eastern Washington's summers are hotter). Thanks for the post.

Thanks, Karen, and intersting blog.

Jenise, the photo of "from here" looks like Baker, don't you think?

It does, and if it is, then she could be on Lummi or even Eliza Island looking across B-ham Bay.

I was intersted in the plant called Tatsoi, because this fall I bought a mixed six pack of lettuce and herbs and Tatsoi was in the mix. I had no idea what it was until seeing the picture on her site. It is very good in salads, seems to be growing well and so far, no bugs have eaten it.

Tatsoi's delicious, isn't it? Kind of a watercress flavor, and very pretty in salads. I'd love to try growing it.

I actually practice something like that in my own raised bed but without lath or a formal prescription. I'm just desperate to put as much as I can in what little area I have.
