Wine with Pizza Margherita

What are your favorites/reccos?

I'm old fashioned - either Chianti Classico or Primitivo for me. Or, of course, if a fantastic pizza, the finest Brunello di Montalcino that I have at hand.

Could not have said it better.

Really depends on the weather and the setting for me. In the summer, outdoors, I like a nice crisp white from Friuli, otherwise, indoors and in less inviting climes, I'm with the Chianti crowd.

Thanks for all the replies. Since I had no Chianti on hand, I made do with an Umberto Cesare Sangiovese, which had the requisite elements to match up quite nicely with the pizza.
