My next door neighbor uses these portable electric fences to move his cattle around to different pastures.

The most my own citified neighbors raise are cats, dogs and the occasional gerbil. 8)

That is really cool, a clever way to move cattle. I have a cousin who lives in Washougal, WA. She has lots of land and a bunch of dogs. She keeps them on her property with collars that give them a bit of a sting if they cross the detector. They go all over her property and quickly learn the boundaries. She does keep her horses in the paddocks, however.
