Top Chef

I am excited about this season's Top Chef since one of the chef/contestants is Brian Voltaggio. His restaurant, Volt, is is Frederick, MD, close to where Liz and I live. We have been to Volt twice and have been blown away by the food and the service and the ambiance. I feel as if I know Brian. While Frederick is the third largest city in Maryland, it's still a small, quaint town. With many very good restaurants, Volt is a standout. This is such a wonderful thing to happen to Frederick, even if he isn't Top Chef at the end of the season!

John, if I'm not mistaken there are two cheftestants from Maryland this season.

The first episode was pretty good. I liked Jen right off the bat, and was sort of applauding myself for picking a winner so early. ;) Brian is the one who's brother is in the competion as well, right? He seems like he knows his stuff.

Looking forward to discussing the season with all of you guys.

Cool, Jon, to have someone to root for!

I haven't seen the first episode yet. I haven't even seen the last episode of Top Chef Masters, though I understand Rick won and am very happy about that. What a prince of a man he seems to be, as well as an amazing cook. Not that Hubert Keller is any less of a gentleman, he does not seem to be, but Rick exudes a kind of zen-like calm that I'm very attracted to.

Yes, Carrie, Brian's brother has a restaurant in LA and he's onTop Chef, too. The odd thing for me is that I do not like these kinds of TV shows but I'll watch this season.

As Jenise said, that's neat you have someone to root for.
I'm curious to see if you become addicted to the show. (Like I am.)
