Any tomato leaf eaters?

by Bob Ross » Sun Aug 02, 2009 2:36 pm

We've had such a wet summer than I'm growing a tremendous crop of tomato leaves and no tomatoes this year.

It was a pleasure to learn from Harold McGee in "The New York Times" that the leaves aren't poisonous (as I was always taught). They've proven to add a bright, tomato note to quick made tomato sauce, and they are a crisp, pretty saute.

Anyone else eat them?

Best, Bob

Never did, just never even thought of it (was unaware of the poisonous thing). But I read Harold's article too, and as soon as I'm cooking again I'll look forward to trying that tomato sauce.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
