Anybody catch this show on the BBC network? I've been recording it the last couple weeks and found it to be pretty entertaining. There is also a British version of Kitchen Nightmares on this channel. I didn't realize Gordon Ramsey was as big a super star as he is. -RP

No, haven't seen it. Are we to assume the F stands for FOOD?

I'm a Gordon fan. On an abstract level, though, isn't it ridiculous that certain arrangements of letters are verboten? I saw a cartoon once of a bluenose attempting to ban all books because if you rearranged the letters they would spell out bad words. I wonder if any other animals in nature ban their members from chirping, grunting or growling in certain ways.

A forumite elsewhere reminded me of Ramsay's rant a couple of years ago, that these celebrity chefs ought to spend more time in the kitchen - just like he did. Then they might have some credibility.

Now Ramsay's the biggest celebrity chef of all, doing more TV than cooking (and making more money than the others).

Just goes to show how much B*****cks he talks

For some he's entertaining, and kitchen nightmares is really pretty educational, both in running a restaurant and in looking at personalities and egos. I never did like his aggressive arrogant style, but developing that further has been a great success for him. Like the laddishness of Top Gear, the more extreme and caricatured, then greater the appeal for telly audiences.
