The Kitchen Diary: Day Ten

Just in case some of you didn't think I meant it when I said the roof was coming off, here's a picture of my kitchen today.

And here's a close-up for Cynthia:

OSHA violation. The guy on the left is standing on the top of the ladder. That's a No, NO.

Seriously, I hope you had yourself added as a Certificate Holder on their General Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance policies and got a copy of the Certificates. Please tell me you did.

We had a worker who came during our remodel, and for a few days, I endured "the crack". I finally asked my decorator (who was the the job boss) to put an end to it. The guy came to work the next day looking much better and I never saw that crack again.

If it went on and on I might get annoyed, but this guy was only on site for two days and was a real pleasure to have around. Hard worker, excellent judgement. And we had so much fun making fun of him yesterday! You should have seen his face when I told him I was going to put his crack on the web for the whole world to admire.

Good eye, Bill. I also noticed the absence of hard hats and safety glasses. Some people gotta learn their lessons the hard way.

Hey, it was the only good thing that happened here all week. It's all about counting one's blessings. :)
