Thanks for that heads-up, Jenise. I ordered about a pound and threw in some of that Wagyu for good measure!

More and more, I keep thinking -- I am out of my league on this forum! :?

I was talking to my folks today and they mentioned that Wagyu at Costco.

That's an impressive sum of money for a roast!

This is more within my budget....a very well known and wonderful home cook in Redding told me that her circle is raving about the Panko Encrused Tilapia in the frozen fish section at Costco. I found this so surprising because she is noted for cooking from scratch, but she is going to try the product based on what her friends have said. She also told me about the box of 12 Christmas Crackers (the things you pop and all the goodies come out) and what a great, quality product they were. 12 for $6+. A real bargin considering what Williams Somoma sells them for. Adults, as well as kids get a kick out of popping these after dinner at the Christmas table (a little wine makes for merriment!) and watching the little kids.

I will have to wait until my next life to try Wagyu and the truffles.

We shop a lot at Costco. Their baby back ribs are great and less expensive than any grocery store or butcher and at least the same quality. I have found fresh wild salmon there for $10 per pound. The selection of fruit is very broad.

Looking at the web page that you pointed us to, I am depressed to see that bottle of Dom Perignon for $120. I just looked at it yesterday in our Costco; due to Ohio minimum pricing laws, the same bottle costs $170 here.
Cheers!

I purchased all new TVs and theater sound systems at Costco in the past month and a half. On top of that, I've received over $500 back because they were selling the stuff I bought for less after I bought it. It's weird but you can get the price difference back with 30 days but if it's between 30 and 90 days, you have to return the item and buy it again. I just repacked a flat screen TV, took it back and bought another of the same type at $100 less. The flat screens are so easy to repack! Tomorrow, I'm taking my surround sound receiver back and buying the same type at $50 less! I really like Costco.
