Hope You Don't Mind!

by Jo Ann Henderson » Mon Dec 08, 2008 8:20 pm

I have been invited as the special guest for the Christmas themed talk show at the radio station where I volunteer (Evergreen Reading and Radion Services: a resource of the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library). I plan to talk about Christmas traditions (focusing on food, of course). I thought I might sprinkle the discussion with some of the posts in Harry's thread Your Favorite Christmas Recipe. I will not be using full names or locations of any of the posters, and will give full credit and a shout out to WLDG. Let me know if you do not wish me to share a recipe or a thought. And, (with the exception of Stuart, who will say some snarky) let me know if you have another thought about holiday foods and traditions you would like me to share. THANKS EVERYBODY! :D

well, i vote for real mince meat made into a pie. the kind with real meat and lots of alcohol to preserve it(as it is to be made months in advance). but real pumpkin pie made from a real pumpkin with lots of cream, eggs and, yes - brandy - is a close second.
